icon FitBuddy is a free, open-source health tracker for Android, with region packs that personalise diets and daily routines.

Snap a photo or type what you ate — an LLM estimates calories and macros instantly. Review ingredients, tweak weights with live macro recalculation, and save. Bookmark favourite meals as presets for one-tap logging next time.

Features:
• Region packs — personalise AI prompts, staples, portion language, and log examples to your region
• Smart logging — photo or text; AI parses food and exercise automatically
• Meal review — edit dish name, adjust ingredient weights with live macro recalc
• Editable workouts — structured sessions, AI session names, upgrade simple logs
• Presets — searchable saved foods and meals; recently used on top; one-tap log
• Barcode scan — look up packaged foods; save or log them, and contribute missing products through Open Food Facts
• Dashboard — daily calorie ring, combined food/exercise log, macro breakdown
• Body goals — calculate adult calorie and macro targets on-device with transparent Mifflin–St Jeor/TDEE estimates, quality-gated smart-scale trends, bounded AI-assisted personalization, activity guidance, BMI screening context, and goal milestones; AI can choose only between exact plans generated safely on-device
• Analytics — weekly or rolling 30-day calorie intake vs target, target-weight body charts, and a compact GitHub-style six-month calorie-burn heatmap
• Encrypted backups — AES-256-GCM; gzip; optional cloud with append-only chunks
• Loading animations — choose Analyzing / Insights wait animations in Settings
• Auto failover — rotates API keys and models on rate limits; stays on your preferred platform
• Offline fallback — works without an AI key via built-in simulator
• Developer support — Razorpay UPI/cards for India and GitHub Sponsors internationally
• Material You — dynamic color theming on Android 12+
• Crash reports — optional anonymous Sentry reports (off by default; opt in via Settings)
• Diagnostic log — optional AI connection log you can export from Settings for support (no meals, photos, or keys)

AI providers (configured at runtime in Settings):
• OpenRouter — free vision models, automatic model dropdown
• Google Gemini — AI Studio key, OpenAI-compatible endpoint
• Ollama — local or cloud
• OpenAI-compatible — OpenAI itself or LM Studio, vLLM, LocalAI, Together, Groq, etc. (URL prefilled for OpenAI)

Without a configured provider, the app works offline using the built-in simulator. Photos require a configured AI provider.

Privacy:
• No ads, no tracking by default
• Crash reports (Sentry) are off by default on F-Droid builds; opt in under Settings
• Cloud backup (MongoDB Atlas) is off by default; opt in under Settings → Backup
• AI providers are contacted only when you choose to enable them
• Razorpay, payment apps, and GitHub Sponsors open only when you choose them; the UPI QR is stored locally

Updates on this F-Droid build are delivered by F-Droid. The GitHub update checker is disabled in this flavor.

Note: The F-Droid APK uses F-Droid's signing key and cannot replace a GitHub or Play Store install in place.
