DD GUI is a graphical interface for the good old dd command in a rooted Android environment. Its objective is to facilitate the execution of dd commands by providing a graphical interface. To quickly summarize what can be done with this command, here is a list:
- Backup current system/kernel/recovery/* image to anywhere
- Directly flash a new recovery/kernel (if recovery partition is known and it is a .img file)
- Copy/replace files as root

Wants root
While you can download the APKs here directly, you should preferably use an F-Droid client so the app stays up-to-date on your device. Some clients have this repo enabled by default, e.g. Neo Store or, of course, the IzzyOnDroid client by Sunil. With others (like the official client) you'll have to add this repo manually (see the hint on top of the package list for how to do that).
