DresSecureComms is a FOSS, de-Googled, all-in-one secure communications app. It works fully offline for SMS and calls, with no Google services and no trackers.

Features:

Messages: a private offline SMS client. Send and receive normal texts, or turn on encryption per message. Encrypted messages use AES-256-GCM and only work between two people who both use this app and share the same key (set by hand in Settings).
Calls: dial any number or call a saved contact over your normal carrier line.
Contacts: an encrypted local vault, stored with the Android Keystore. Add contacts by hand or import them from the device.
Threat Scan: check a URL against VirusTotal using your own free API key.
Metadata Wipe: strip GPS and EXIF data from a photo before you share it.
Geo Spoofer: set a mock GPS location, or have the app pick a random one.
App Lock: biometric or device PIN.

WhatsNew:

Forces incoming and outgoing picture messages through Android own MMS handling, which should fix the crash and pictures not arriving on many networks. Adds a one-tap Share report on the crash screen and Share crash log in Settings so you can send us the full error to help fix MMS. Photos keep their correct rotation and are sized to send reliably.

While you can download the APKs here directly, you should preferably use an F-Droid client so the app stays up-to-date on your device. Some clients have this repo enabled by default, e.g. Neo Store, Droid-ify, or, of course, the IzzyOnDroid client by Sunil. With others (like the official client) you'll have to add this repo manually (see the hint on top of the package list for how to do that).
