Fauxx is an open-source privacy tool that protects you by generating diverse synthetic browsing activity in the background. By flooding data brokers and ad-tech platforms with plausible off-demographic noise, Fauxx makes your real behavioral signal statistically indistinguishable from fake data.

This is the FULL version distributed via F-Droid and GitHub. It includes all modules, including location spoofing and ad profile pollution, which are not available in the Play Store version due to Google's policies.

HOW IT WORKS

Fauxx runs quietly in the background and performs diverse browsing activities across many topic categories — searches, page visits, DNS lookups, fingerprint rotation, ad profile pollution, and GPS location spoofing. The goal is to bury your real interests under a mountain of synthetic noise so that data brokers can't build an accurate profile of you.

⇒ Fauxx intentionally generates synthetic browsing activity against third-party network services that are not themselves free/libre:\ Google Search, Bing, Yahoo Search, and the user's opted-in ad-preference pages (Google Ads Settings, Facebook Ad Preferences) when Layer 2 targeting is enabled. This traffic is the core feature — the app's purpose is to generate noise visible to these non-free services. No user credentials are sent except by the user's own opt-in interaction with the ad-preference scrapers.
