FixupXer removes tracking from URLs before you copy, share, or open them. Processing runs entirely on your device, with no ads, account, analytics, or Android permissions.

Clean and improve links

Remove known tracking parameters from YouTube, Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, Amazon, Google, Reddit, and many other services. A universal cleaner covers other websites.
Keep unknown and functional parameters by default. Instagram post/Reel links keep a valid carousel image selector; individual Story permalinks lose query parameters and fragments. Complete X post links remove changing share tags while retaining supported options and media path selection.
Unwrap supported redirect links entirely offline.
Optionally convert links to embed-friendly frontends for chat previews or readers that can display public content without an account. Choose built-in options or add custom domains in Settings.

Use it your way

Share a URL to FixupXer, paste it into the app, or select text and choose "Clean link" where the source app supports it.
Choose the next action: open in an app or browser, share, or copy.
Enable Browser Mode in Settings and select FixupXer as Android's default browser to process eligible links automatically. Verified App Links may bypass it.
Keep Browser frontend choices separate from Main/Share choices. Remember a preferred browser or an app choice for a website host.
Native actions restore supported X, Instagram, and TikTok embed links to the original platform. Browser, Share, and Copy keep the processed URL; failed actions offer Retry.

Private Link Guard

Get an offline warning when a link still contains credentials, email addresses, auth tokens, or precise coordinates. Review the finding before sharing. Remove a flagged query parameter when available, or go back. Sensitive originals stay out of history and cache; fully cleaned results may be saved as redacted entries when History is on. The guard cannot detect every private value.

Custom rules and local controls

Create optional rules for hosts or URL patterns, with ordered processing phases, templates, and Teach-from-example drafts.
Preview changes in Test Lab, save per-rule test cases, and import or export rule bundles. Custom rules start disabled.
Use optional local history with Undo, manual settings and rule backups, and System, Light, or Dark themes.
Open online Help for setup, examples, and troubleshooting.

Privacy and third-party services

FixupXer makes no network requests. Opening or sharing a result hands it to another app or service with its own privacy policy. Optional frontends are independently operated and may change or stop working; conversion can be disabled.

While you can download the APKs here directly, you should preferably use an F-Droid client so the app stays up-to-date on your device. Some clients have this repo enabled by default, e.g. Neo Store, Droid-ify, or, of course, the IzzyOnDroid client by Sunil. With others (like the official client) you'll have to add this repo manually (see the hint on top of the package list for how to do that).
