The most advanced BusyBox installer on Google Play from a trusted developer with over 40 million downloads.
JRummy’s Busybox Installer lets you chose between One click install or install in recovery (via a flashable ZIP the app can create). The third option is to install the busybox binary completely manually without this app: Downloads can be found on the Github page.
For those who don’t know what a Busybox is: BusyBox combines tiny versions of many common UNIX utilities into a single small executable. It provides replacements for most of the utilities you usually find in GNU fileutils, shellutils, etc. The utilities in BusyBox generally have fewer options than their full-featured GNU cousins; however, the options that are included provide the expected functionality and behave very much like their GNU counterparts. BusyBox provides a fairly complete environment for any small or embedded system.
AntiFeatures: Requires Google Services, uses Firebase, Ads, Analytics.
Ads: The application contains advertising.
NonFreeDep: The application depends on a non-free application (e.g. Google Maps) - i.e. it requires it to be installed on the device, but does not include it.
NonFreeNet: This application promotes or entirely depends a non-Free network service.
Tracking: The application tracks and reports your activity to somewhere – usually either without your consent, or by default (i.e. you’d have to actively disable it). It’s commonly used for when developers obtain crash logs without the user’s consent, or when an app is useless without some kind of authentication.
