Alpha GPS geotags your photos by transmitting your phone's GPS location to Sony Alpha cameras over Bluetooth LE — a lightweight alternative to the official apps. It also offers a Bluetooth remote shutter.

Features

Continuous location transmission to the camera while shooting, including automatic time synchronization

Automatic reconnection when the camera is turned on, even with the app in the background and the screen off (via Android's companion device manager)

Remote shutter with a focus → shutter sequence

Optional "Always On" foreground service for devices with aggressive battery management

Multiple cameras can be paired

No account, no ads, no tracking

Works with Sony cameras that support location linking via Bluetooth (as used by Imaging Edge Mobile or Creators' App).

WhatsNew:

What's new:

- Improved Wi-Fi remote compatibility for the Sony ZV-1 and other older Sony cameras, including live view startup and photo transfer.
- Fixed repeated Bluetooth disconnections during location sharing with cameras such as the Sony RX0 II when Always On is disabled.
