DroidPlay is an AirPlay client for Android that can be used in conjunction with ExoAirPlayer. Though most likely unmaintained (there was no commit since 10/2015), the author of the latter app says it is absolutely working fine:
„DroidPlay is a great client for sharing images and audio/video media from one Android device.. and watching them in ExoAirPlayer on another.“
Features:
- Automatic discovery of AirPlay services (e.g. Apple TV, AirServer) within same network
- Beam photos from your device to AirPlay (PNG, JPG)
- Stream videos from your device to AirPlay (MP4)
Usage:
- Start the app and wait for services to be discovered
- Swipe from left to right, and select Connect to AirPlay... from the menu (icon will be green for resolved services)
- Swipe from left to right, and select Choose folder... from the menu to find your content (or use the default Pictures or Videos)
- Tap on a thumbnail to beam it to your AirPlay service (images will be sent and shown directly, videos will be streamed from your device)
While you can download the APKs here directly, you should preferably use an F-Droid client so the app stays up-to-date on your device. Some clients have this repo enabled by default, e.g. Neo Store, Droid-ify, or, of course, the IzzyOnDroid client by Sunil. With others (like the official client) you'll have to add this repo manually (see the hint on top of the package list for how to do that).
